Dr. Ahmad received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Derby, United Kingdom in 2019; M.Sc. in Communication and Information Technology from the University of Bremen, Germany, and B.Sc. in Electronics Engineering from COMSATS University Islamabad, Pakistan.
I am currently working as Senior Lecturer in Cyber Security within School of Computing and Engineering, University of Huddersfield, UK. My current research topics include: Trust Management in Automotive Networks, Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA) of Automotive Networks, 5G/6G Mobile Communication Security, AI.
I am currently working as an Assistant Professor within Institute for Future Transport and Cities. My current research topics include: Trust Management in Vehicular Networks, Automotive Security, 5G Mobile Communication and Named Data Networking.
I worked as Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in the Cyber Security Research Group, lead by Prof. Fatih Kurugollu. My research spans various topics including Applications of Blockchain in Internet-of-Things (IoT), Trust Management in Vehicular Networks, IoT Security, 5G Mobile Communication and Named Data Networking.
I worked as Associate Academic for University of Derby Online Learning (UDOL), where I was responsible for designing and authoring for Computing and IT related courses. I designed an M.Sc. level course with title "Enterprise Networking and Security".
I also worked as Post Graduate Teaching Assistant (PGTA) at the College of Engineering and Technology, University of Derby, UK. During this job, I co-organized tutorials with other colleagues of the college. Further, I also co-supervised two thesis in the domain of VANET.
I worked as Cyber Security Lead within Digital and Emerging Technology, Expleo Group, UK. My interests include: Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA) of Automotive Networks, ISO/SAE 21434, UNECE Reg. 155 and Reg. 156, Cyber Security Management Systems (CSMS), Trust Management in Vehicular Networks, Automotive Security.
I worked as Senior Cyber Security Engineer at Volta Trucks, UK. My current interests include: Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA) of Automotive Networks, ISO/SAE 21434, Trust Management in Vehicular Networks, Automotive Security.
During this job, I worked on the data analysis of wind energy using MATLAB. Particularly, I designed a GUI to access data from XSENS MTI sensors.
